Acamprosate™
This therapy, using the drug Acamprosate™, has been especially designed to minimise cravings for alcohol and has proved valuable in reducing relapse.
As Acamprosate™ has been shown to help alcohol dependent patients to not start drinking again when it is used as part of treatment, we believe this to be an effective form of treatment.
This one-year relapse prevention package includes monthly visits to monitor abstinence. It includes breathalyser tests together with reviews of your coping skills and setting agreed targets of social achievement. We also offer full screening for liver function.
We also provide motivational support which forms a major part of this relapse prevention programme.
