FAQ's

1. How long will treatment take ?

Usually patients are fully detoxified in less than 14 days. Many patients, if working can arrange to take one weeks leave and by utilising weekends can successfully complete the treatment in this time. The duration of detoxification depends on many factors: age, sex, duration of habit, substances used, amount of drugs used, mode of drug administration and general physical health, to name a few.

2. How will I feel ?

Most patients are surprised at how well they do and how well controlled their symptoms are. Much of this depends on an accurate and honest account of the habit at the time of assessment. Of course after a successful detoxification mental and physical well being are greatly enhanced and the patient is equipped to go forward into a new lifestyle.

3. What is the success rate ?

Because of the individual nature of the treatments the success rate is high for this type of treatment. In a recent GP project, of 27 patients who underwent detoxification, 22 became substance free which is a success rate of more than 80%.
